In the Kitchen

The Most Useful Gift Guide for Cooks

Where do many homeschooling moms spend the most time? In the kitchen! Whether you’re suggesting a gift for yourself or buying for someone else who loves to cook, you can find some great gift suggestions right here in our Gift Guide for Cooks! We asked our community what are their must-have kitchen items they have or want and this is part of that list! We feel certain you can find something practical or something to splurge on with our list!

Instant Pot 6 Qt 7-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker

No serious gift guide would be complete without the Instant Pot. I know it feels a little intimidating… but seriously, work through it and get this cooker.  It speeds up cooking by 2  to 6 times and, above all, produces nutritious healthy food in a convenient and consistent fashion. This one is a 7-in-1 programmable cooker, it replaces 7 kitchen appliances as it has the functions of a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, sauté, yogurt maker & warmer.

Electric Air Fryer

I don’t personally have one of these, but the moms in our community are raving about it!! After I looked into it, what is not to like? The air fryer circulates extremely hot air and flows heat currents around food, delivering the fast and precise results. Producing delicious fried food which gets crispy exterior and moist interior with little or no oil, it cooks healthier food with up to 80% less fat.

Emeril’s All-Clad Stainless Steel 12-piece cookware set

This beautiful set of stainless steel cookware would make a wonderful gift for anyone who spends a lot of time cooking. It includes a pour and strain measuring sauce pan and has measuring marks in the sauce pans and stockpot. Its aluminum encapsulated base helps make sure heat is evenly distributed. flirty apron

A cute apron

These beautiful aprons are a great gift idea for a mom who spends lots of time in the kitchen. If we have to be in the kitchen, we might as well look pretty while cooking and baking, right? dutch oven

Lodge Dutch Oven

You (or whomever you’re gifting with this Lodge Dutch Oven) will absolutely love this gift! I (Wendy) received one several years ago as a gift, and it quickly became one of my favorite pots. And Trish bought one based on my recommendation and it is one of her favorites too. It can be used on the stovetop or in the oven. It is coated on the inside with 2 coats of porcelain enamel in a cream color. The enamel helps keeps food from sticking, and it makes it so easy to clean! It is dishwasher safe, but it’s best to hand wash so the enamel doesn’t chip.

slow cooker

Hamilton Beach Set ‘n Forget 6 quart Programmable Slow Cooker

Slow cookers are often invaluable to the homeschooling mom! It even has power-interrupt protection! The stoneware on the inside and the tempered-glass lid are dishwasher-safe. It comes with recipes and a 1-year limited warranty.
