Part-time Assistant Recruiter, Student Brand Ambassador Program

Job Description

At Kaplan Test Prep, we are consumed with our quest to help students own their moment and achieve their ambitions.  We embrace the same spirit as our founder, Stanley Kaplan, who started tutoring students in his basement in 1938.  We continue to be the world leader in test preparation because of our unwavering commitment to helping our students achieve their educational and professional goals.

We’re looking for a highly motivated Assistant Recruiter for the Student Brand Ambassador Program.  In this position, you’ll find and evaluate top talent to staff our program with quality hires who will make a strong impact on campus.  You’ll report to the Senior Recruiter for Grad, Pre-College, and the Student Brand Ambassador program.

As an Assistant Recruiter, you will:

  • Use your passion for driving top talent into the organization to identify candidates for high-need areas, and maintain a consistent pipeline of candidates for all campuses.

  • Leverage your commitment to hiring quality by screening candidates to identify how they positively contribute to the Kaplan brand on campus.

  • Demonstrate your attention to detail by maintaining candidate/job requisition records in Workday Recruiter and assisting with administrative recruitment tasks.

  • An Executer.  You’re task-driven, and love crossing things off your to-do list.  You’re also reliable – people can count on you to get the job done.

  • Flexible.  You don’t get overwhelmed easily, and you stay calm under pressure.  You enjoy change and are always open to trying new approaches.

  • A Prioritizer.  You can successfully balance multiple initiatives at once and you always follow through without letting any details fall through the cracks.  You are organized and efficient.

  • Resilient.  You’re a competitor with grit who will do whatever it takes to get the job done.  Nothing will stop you from meeting your goals.

  • Resourceful. You’re quick, you’re clever, and you’re solution-oriented.  You can take information and run with it – you don’t rely on a lot of direction.

  • Strategic. You know your time is valuable, so you only use it in the most efficient way possible.  You make data-driven decisions in order to develop and execute plans

You are also:

  • Tech-savvy, and are able to learn new systems/processes quickly.  If you have Workday experience, that’s a big plus!

  • Excited to work independently in a remote workforce (15 hours/week).  You are generally available during normal business hours (9am-5pm).

  • Experienced, preferably in a recruitment-related role (but not required), with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
